Even more fundraising

We weren’t sure that a ten day trip to Peru battling altitude sickness, heat and exhaustion would be challenging enough, so we’ve decided to dust off the Lycra and saddle up for a 100km bike ride a few days after we get back! All the money raised at the bike ride will go towards hitting our Peru target of £17,000 and every penny you donate will go to the charity.

On April 28 we’ll be starting our cycle ride from South Birmingham, taking in the sights of the beautiful Cotswolds before collapsing in a heap back in Birmingham.

We're hoping to get about 50 riders, and raise more than £2000 this year so we can support the fantastic work done by Children Today. You can support us at our Just Giving site, or if you’d like to get involved in the cycle ride you’ll need to raise a minimum of £30 and there’s a £10 entry fee. Please get in touch with your local Police CU branch, Head Office or our website www.policecu.co.uk, for more details.

Here we go again!

The blisters have healed and the memories of being lost in the Malaysian rainforest have faded. However, the incredible amount of money we raised last year for Children Today is still benefiting children across the UK, so we thought we’d do it all again this year in Peru.

There's a new team with some familiar faces, all ready to take on a five day trek along some pretty demanding mountain terrain. We're already in training for the ten day trip and fundraising is well underway too. I'd like to thank everyone who's supported us and donated so far. With your help, we've already achieved more than 80% of our target.

So please dig deep and help us achieve our goal of £17,000. We have already paid all our own costs, so every penny you donate goes straight to Children Today. And if you bookmark our blog, and keep coming back over the next few weeks, you can see how we're getting on too.
